overcome.

Drawing nearer to the end of a season and the beginning of another contorts my stomach into knots. Questions, feelings, hopes and fears create a myriad of ideas as to what may come. At times the hope is strong enough to oust the effects of unanswered questions and fears. Unfortunately, moments of weakness open a door for doubt to sneak in. Striving to create a world of perfect circumstances sets an individual up for a fall. It is naive to expect a trail of pristine reactions and decisions to diminish the likelihood of something going amiss. No one is prepared for the unexpected.
Life holds its tests and trials. Being a perfectionist and competitive, nothing would be more delightful than a pat on the back and an "A+" that tells me I did everything right. Reality is I won't. Pleasing over six billion people will not grant me a trophy; not even pleasing one person will do that. But peace that accompanies pressing forward in obedience is all the reward I need. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Day by Day. We merely live one day at a time.
