overcome.

Drawing nearer to the end of a season and the beginning of another contorts my stomach into knots. Questions, feelings, hopes and fears create a myriad of ideas as to what may come. At times the hope is strong enough to oust the effects of unanswered questions and fears. Unfortunately, moments of weakness open a door for doubt to sneak in. Striving to create a world of perfect circumstances sets an individual up for a fall. It is naive to expect a trail of pristine reactions and decisions to diminish the likelihood of something going amiss. No one is prepared for the unexpected.
Life holds its tests and trials. Being a perfectionist and competitive, nothing would be more delightful than a pat on the back and an "A+" that tells me I did everything right. Reality is I won't. Pleasing over six billion people will not grant me a trophy; not even pleasing one person will do that. But peace that accompanies pressing forward in obedience is all the reward I need. Matthew 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Day by Day. We merely live one day at a time.

bmw.

Going along with the theme of favorites, this car is number one for me.

What could be cooler than a 70s bmw as a cop car? Yeah, I don't think there is anything either.

If this randomly showed up on my driveway one day, I don't even know how to explain the excitement that would flow from my toesies to my head.

pandas.

Pandas are my favorite animal. They are the most adorable thing ever; especially the baby ones.

endurance.

What is worth it? A question that could follow up this one is "what has worth?" Life hurls adversity at people giving them a chance to rise above the affliction. Trying moments provide opportunity to succeed or fail. Either way a lesson is learned. With success comes the satisfaction that the pain or trial that tore apart a heart was well worth it. Failure, although disappointing, offers the knowledge of being one wrong closer to right. I have sat in this chair for the past two hours bearing through the pain of uncalloused fingertips. Prayers have been thrown upwards in hopes  that supernatural talent would avail. Even though my fingers and ears would appreciate the blessing, without practice the notes on the guitar would not sound nearly as  sweet.
We find worth in the result. Our eyes seem to be limited to a dim road filled with fog that makes seeing the destination just short of impossible. A year or two from now confidence could walk me onto a stage in front of people. Shaking hands will still ensue, but the times of weakness and sting conquered will carry the tune. Some of the worst yield the best. We endure for what will come.
